Fake-order protection for cash on delivery
With cash on delivery, many orders are never confirmed. Reporting them as purchases teaches the ad platform to find more people who order and don't pay. A short delay lets your team confirm the order first.

What you get
Choose the delay
Off, or 1, 3, 6, 12, 24 or 48 hours, in the store's settings. The 48-hour cap keeps every purchase inside the platforms' reporting windows.
A cancel stops it
When your store sends a cancel for the same order (WooCommerce and Shopify do this automatically), every held purchase is skipped with the reason “order cancelled”.
Original order time
The purchase is sent with the time the shopper ordered, not the time it was released, so attribution stays correct.
Pixels hold too
While the delay is on, the browser pixels loaded by Trakero don't send Purchase either; the confirmed purchase goes out server-side with the same event id.
Set up in minutes
- 1Open Settings and choose a purchase delay that fits how long your team takes to confirm orders.
- 2Cancel fake or unconfirmed orders in your store as usual.
- 3Check Deliveries: cancelled orders show “order cancelled” instead of being sent.
Questions
Is this the same as sending purchases only when the order is completed?+
It's the other option. The WooCommerce plugin can count a purchase only when the order reaches a status you choose (for example Completed). The delay suits shops that confirm by phone within a few hours but deliver over several days.
What about pixels I installed myself?+
Trakero can only hold the pixels it loads. If you added the Meta or TikTok pixel yourself, remove its Purchase event or let Trakero load the pixel.
Do other events wait?+
No. Only purchases are held; page views, add to cart and checkout events are sent straight away.
